I like to consider instrumental music (songs without any texts) like audio tales. They’re the products of an abstract art, in which the suggestion comes from a sequence of sounds: there are no images or words, therefore it is the notes that have to tell the story. I think that this aspect should be the core of the creative process, not to run the risk of purely aesthetic works that have nothing to communicate and that don’t convey any emotion.
In this album I tried to tell stories only using the piano.
